At the age of eleven, Lydia Sophia performed with country sensation Kenny Rogers, singing with her classmates and as a soloist in front of a crowd of around 3,000. At the age of twelve, Lydia Sophia was gifted her first guitar, and the rest is history. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the now twenty-two-year-old singer-songwriter has a story to tell. With a style deeply rooted in lyricism and storytelling, Lydia's music showcases personal reflections of her life and experiences through resonating melodies and lyrics.
Her work as a musician dates back to her time in middle school up to the present day. Her experience includes vocal, conducting, and arrangement work with her high school, college, and Minnesota Allstate choirs, creating & teaching compositions for her college a capella group, Cadenza, and performing original works as a soloist or with a band. Outside of performing and creating, she has worked as a vocalist on a television commercial project and studied Music Business at the University of St. Thomas.
Her work as a solo artist is personal and delivered from the heart. Her music is written by herself about her life that she is currently living.
